What an activated carbon filter does
Activated carbon is carbon treated so its surface is covered in microscopic pores. As the smoke passes through, some of the unwanted substances stay trapped there instead of reaching your mouth.
A less harsh draw
The smoke arrives cooler and lighter. You notice the difference from the first draw, and especially towards the end of the cigarette.
The flavour holds up
The carbon traps what you don't want without stripping out the natural flavour of the herb — which is exactly what overly aggressive filters ruin.
No herb in your mouth
The ceramic cap at each end has seven perforations: they let the air through and block everything else. No rolled card tip does that.
A steady draw
Premium paper keeps the tube rigid from end to end. It doesn't crush or fall apart in humidity.
Where we come from
PURION™ is designed in Los Ángeles, California, and has crossed the Atlantic to open up the European market. Spain is the first stop: Purion S.L. distributes from Marbella the very bag you see here, with its 50 filters and resealable seal.
How it's made
Ceramic cap at both ends
Seven perforations per cap. They hold the carbon inside the tube and stop herb reaching your mouth. This is the part that sets PURION apart from a rolled card tip.
Naturally sourced activated carbon
Granulated, held between the two caps. Its porous surface traps some of the unwanted substances the smoke carries as it passes through.
Premium paper with the brand print
White, with the logo printed in black. It keeps the tube rigid from end to end, without crushing or falling apart in humidity.

Frequently asked questions
Activated carbon has a highly porous surface that traps some of the unwanted substances the smoke carries before they reach your mouth. The result is a less harsh draw and a cleaner flavour. The ceramic cap at each end also stops herb getting inside the filter.
A PURION filter is single use: it is made for one cigarette. The carbon saturates as it works, so reusing it worsens both the draw and the flavour. Each bag holds 50 units. Dispose of the used one responsibly.
They trap some of the particles and unwanted substances the smoke carries, but not all of them. PURION is a filtering accessory, not a medical device: it does not remove the risks of smoking, nor does it make smoking safe.
A rolled card tip only adds rigidity and keeps herb out of your mouth: it filters nothing. An activated carbon filter does the same and additionally traps part of the smoke passing through it, so the draw is smoother and the flavour stays cleaner.
PURION is 8.0 mm, the regular size, which is the one that fits standard rolling papers. 6 mm filters are considered slim and 9 mm extra. If you use normal papers, 8 mm is yours.
